Players
The Alexandria Freedom are dedicated, bright and talented young ladies who love to
play soccer. They are committed to train hard and enjoy the lasting friendships with their teammates.
In addition to WAGS league matches, the Freedom practice three times a week and
participate in three to four tournaments each season. The team also plays indoor
soccer during the winter and often attend soccer camps and clinics
during the summer.
Coaches Our team is professionally coached and trained by our nationally licensed coach,
Ed Thomas. Please read our coach's bios to learn more about
him.
Parents Freedom parents always offer positive support to the players and
emphasize good sportsmanship at all times. The Alexandria Freedom is a
not-for-profit organization that depends on the volunteer efforts of all
families to provide a fun, but professional atmosphere in which their
daughters can enjoy the game of soccer at a highly competitive level and,
just perhaps, learn a little something deeper about their team mates, their
coaches and themselves.
Freedom parents must also pay team fees to cover coaching salaries, league
fees, tournament fees, and uniforms. Financial assistance is available for lower
income players.
